Go measure your head for a fitted cap, use a flexible measuring tape to find your head circumference just above your ears and across your forehead.
Step-by-Step Guide to Measuring Your Head
Gather Your Tools: You will need a flexible measuring tape (preferably cloth or plastic). If you don't have one, you can use a piece of string and a ruler as an alternative.
Position the Tape: Wrap the measuring tape around your head, positioning it about 1 inch above your eyebrows and just above your ears. This is the widest part of your head, which will give you the most accurate measurement.
-
Take the Measurement: Ensure the tape is snug but not tight; it should rest comfortably without compressing your skin. Note the measurement where the tape meets its end. This is your head circumference in inches.
-
Record Your Measurement: Write down the measurement in inches. It’s a good idea to take two or three measurements to ensure accuracy. If they differ, use the largest number.
-
Convert to Hat Size: Use a hat size chart to convert your head circumference into a fitted size. Fitted hat sizes are typically labeled with numbers (like 7, 7 1/4, etc.), which correspond to the circumference of the inner band of the hat. If you are between sizes, it’s generally recommended to round up to the nearest size for a more comfortable fit.
